Are you a landlord or homeowner?
If the answer is yes, then take advantage of the $1,200 insulation rebate while it lasts.
• are an Australian citizen or permanent resident aged 18 years or over
• are an owner-occupier (primary place of residence), landlord or authorised representative (e.g. tenant, approval from the body corporate)
• do not currently have ceiling insulation that meets standards
• want insulation installed in an existing home, built prior to 1 July 2007 in NSW only, and all other States prior to 2003
• have not received a solar hot water rebate since it was increased to $1600 in February 2009
• have not previously applied for the home owner insulation program for this dwelling
• arrange installation by an authorised installer*
*That's us.
In addition to the above criteria, your house/ceiling needs to meet these other requirements:
• be a dwelling that does not already have ceiling insulation or have ceiling insulation of ‘negligible effectiveness’
• be installed between 1 September 2009 and 31 December 2011 (unless funds allocated to this program are depleted sooner)
• be installed in the living areas of the dwelling
• be new ceiling insulation material
• be installed to the Australian insulation installation and product standards (including R-Value specifications). The installer will be responsible for meeting these requirements.
